Fish-style version of epic paintings about the birth of Venus. I used both the Botticelli and Poussin versions as inspiration and reference to create this piece.
The making of this idea began with a need for something ‘epic’ and evolutionary to set above our fireplace. I hope it’s epic enough to be hung within a fancy gold frame once we are done re-furnishing the parlor.
